Tropik Wood Industries Limited (Tropik) owns and operates Fiji’s largest Sawmill and is the country’s only major processor of pine timber. The company, which has assets of around F$45million, is owned by Fiji Pine Limited. The processing complex, which covers an area in excess of 4 hectares at Drasa, 13km from Lautoka, includes a weighbridge, logyard, sawmill, chipmill, kilns, treatment plant, planermill, power generation plant, workshop and dispatch facilities. The pant generates all of its electricity requirements from wood residues.

The company set up a 9.3 megawatt Cogeneration Plant in 2008 and exports power to the national grid.
